April ☂️ 2026 News
May 1, 2026, 3:00 PM

Greetings in Christ! I hope and pray that all is well.
I am writing the "lead" article this month as our Executive Director, Wayne King, is currently teaching in the Philippines. Once April arrived, things became very busy at Mission Journeys and Global Bible School.
A few weeks ago, our first mission trip of the year took place in Guyana, South America (see more about this trip below).
As our mission outreach continues to multiply, your prayers and support are very needed and appreciated.
Our "Prayer Focus" this year has already yielded results! We have received some "unexpected" financial support from some individuals that will help us move closer to some of our long-term strategic goals.
In a few days, I'll be mailing out the first wave of "call letters" for our donor program known as "The Way Makers." These are people who have committed to giving (making a way) to the ministry “twice” a year (or more/less). If you would like to be a part of this donor group, please let me know. You can find my contact information (Cell Number and Email) below!
Many lives are being changed through God's provision and the help of loyal donors like YOU! THANKS again!

In Him,

Ministry in South America:
Guyana Mission Trip (April 7-15, 2026)

Our first mission trip of the year took place in early April in Guyana, in the most northern part of South America. We began visiting this country and doing ministry way back in the 1970s. We started sending teams in 1993.
In recent years, we've been working with the Alness Revival Christian Church. The village of Alness lies along the Corentyne River in the eastern part of Guyana, near the border with Suriname.
Our most recent team, led by Wayne King, held two nights of leadership training with the Alness Church and conducted a three-day medical clinic, along with some home visits. Joining Wayne on the team was the Poczatek family from Tollesboro, KY.

Current Mission Trip: Philippines (April 21-May 13)

Wayne is currently teaching college Bible classes in Church Leadership and Church Administration with 15 men/students. Joining Wayne in teaching classes is Ivan Spencer. Ivan is a Mission Journeys board member and currently serves as the Lead Minister at Fox Creek Christian Church (Lawrenceburg, KY).
Wayne and Ivan are also working with leaders of local churches. Last October, an online leadership class was started with five leaders of the Balugo Church of Christ. These men are getting a better understanding of their roles as leaders in the church.
