Chuck Perry faithfully served with Mission Journeys for 40 years. His involvement with Mission Journeys began with our second-ever short-term mission trip (to Antigua, West Indies) in 1986.
Over the years, Chuck gave a lot of his time to help with mission trips, working directly with host missionaries and team leaders.
Overall, Chuck was involved in ministry for 60 years, holding successful preaching ministries in Kentucky and Missouri. He was also a professional photographer, preserving history for numerous organizations as well as photographing sporting events for the University of Kentucky.
Chuck passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, after a brave 28-month battle with cancer.
In December 2023, Mission Journeys honored Chuck for his years of volunteer service to the mission. It was announced that a “missions” scholarship at Kentucky Christian University (Chuck’s alma mater) was being established in Chuck’s name and honor.
It also allows Mission Journeys to further invest in the lives of young people who want to serve the Lord through mission work. Our prayer is that God will use this scholarship program to help develop future leaders in God's Kingdom.
