Since 1998, Mission Journeys has been working in Eastern Kentucky to help revive rural congregations, improve church facilities/homes, and bring the gospel to the people of the Appalachian Mountains. This area of Kentucky contains some of the poorer areas of Appalachia, with many low-income families and high unemployment.
2024 Highlights:
* We continued to work with local mission organizations to help with flood relief.
* One trip was made to Letcher County (KY). A mission team repaired a floor in a mobile
home and did drywall in a church building.
* We held three Christmas Shoebox events in Eastern Kentucky, giving 375 presents to children in need.
