Chuck has served with Mission Journeys for nearly 40 years! He was part of our second-ever mission trip to Antigua, West Indies, in 1986. Since then, Chuck has donated his time to help with mission trips, working directly with host missionaries and team leaders.
He says his favorite part of ministry is "preaching and teaching the Good News to those who are spiritually hungry."
One of Chuck's favorite mission trip memories involves a Vacation Bible School held in Jamaica. He says it was one of his most challenging and productive mission trip projects. The number of children attending VBS doubled each day. What began with 65 children ended up being over 360 children by the last day! The children were blessed with Bible stories and they greatly enjoyed the crayons, construction paper, glue, and stickers. Looking back, Chuck says, "The children's appreciative hugs and high fives were more than sufficient!"
Chuck has been in ministry since 1965 and has held successful preaching ministries in Kentucky and Missouri. He is also a professional photographer, preserving history for numerous organizations as well as photographing sporting events for the University of Kentucky. He and his wife Sherlan reside in Lexington, KY.
