Appalachian Christmas Project:
Our 20th annual Appalachian Christmas Project is officially underway. This project helps provide Christmas presents to many needy children in Eastern Kentucky through the support of churches and individuals.
Several churches have been collecting things over the past few weeks. We are looking to distribute over 375 shoebox gifts this year!
Our first Christmas Party/Distribution Event was held last Friday (December 6th) in Letcher County, KY.
Letcher County was one of the hardest hit areas by the floods during the summer of 2022. For the past year plus, Mission Journeys has been working with an organization called "Save His Sheep" to assist residents who need help during their recovery from the flooding.
Here are the distribution dates & destinations for the remaining two events this year:
Wednesday, December 18th:
Estill Medical Clinic/Irvine, KY (Estill County)
Thursday, December 19th:
Salyersville, KY, Christian Church (Magoffin County)

Year-end Giving:
We decided not to do a "year-end celebration" event like we've done the last two years.
We are, however, conducting a “year-end” giving campaign.
