Charles Allen "Chuck" Perry
(1947-2025)
40 years of ministry with Mission Journeys!
Our dear friend Chuck Perry passed away on Monday, July 28th, after a brave 28-month battle with cancer. Chuck has faithfully served with Mission Journeys for the past 40 years.
Chuck's involvement with Mission Journeys began with our second-ever short-term mission trip (to Antigua, West Indies) in 1986.
Since then, Chuck has donated a lot of his time to help with mission trips, working directly with host missionaries and team leaders.
Overall, Chuck was involved in ministry since 1965 - 60 years - holding successful preaching ministries in Kentucky and Missouri. He was also a professional photographer, preserving history for numerous organizations as well as photographing sporting events for the University of Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife, Sherlan, his brother Ernie (Pam), and hundreds, if not thousands, of dear friends and spiritual kids!

Africa Mission Trip:
Our Executive Director, Wayne King, will be in Africa for a five-and-a-half-week mission trip to the nations of Tanzania and Burundi.
He leaves on August 7th and will return on September 14th.
Wayne will teach for 27 days in 14-15 different locations. Here are the four foundational seminars Wayne will be teaching:
What is The Gospel?
What Does it Mean to be a Christian?
Spiritual Growth
Discipleship
These will be taught first and will then be followed by a selection of 10-12 additional seminars. A broad group will be in attendance. Some will have very little knowledge of scripture, and others will be church leaders.
